PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE

·          Bachelor Degree in Arts/medical Illustration/ Clinical Photography or related field or equivalent from an accredited program.

·          Minimum of two years experience in a related field.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

·          Produce Photographs, videos and other graphical images for use.

·          Integrate and develop graphics and animations using graphic design, editing, artistic skills, computer equipment and hand drawing techniques to produce materials for medical lectures and conferences.

·          Create two dimensional and three dimensional images depicting objects in motion illustrating processes using computer animation or modeling programs.

·          Crate lifelike images by using light, color, texture, shadow, transparency and static images manipulation giving the illusion of motion.

·          Assemble, typeset, scan and produce digital camera-ready art/film negatives and print proofs.

·          Apply a story development by directing, video taping and editing animation, create story boards that show the flow of the animation and identify the key scenes and characters.

·          Script, plan and create animated narrative sequences under tight deadlines, using computer software and hand drawing techniques.

·          Create basic designs, drawings and illustrations for product labels, direct mail or television.

·          Create pen and paper images for scanning, editing, coloring, texturing or animating by computer.

·          Develop briefings, brochures, multimedia presentations, web pages, promotional products, technical illustrations and computer art work for use in products, technical manuals, literatures, newsletters and slide shows.

·          Use models to simulate the behavior of animated objects in the finished sequence.

·          Work closely with both healthcare professionals and patients in a range of settings around hospitals and university medical departments

·          Perform other job related duties as required.

·          Knowledge of Light,color texture, shadow and transparency manipulation as well as manipulation of static images giving the illusion of motion.
