PM Networking Infrastructure (WAN, LAN, Wireless LAN) - UAE

PM Networking Infrastructure (WAN, LAN, Wireless LAN) will be reporting to his senior project manager and working closely with other project managers in one of the project streams called the Active components project stream. This person will look after the deployments consisting of CISCO equipment such as WAN routers, LAN switches, WLAN access points and controllers, security equipment at the school sites. He / She will be liaising closely with the internal and external stakeholders for successful implementation of the program. Some specific responsibilities include:

- The Development and upkeep of the project plan related to his stream
- Providing regular reports to his senior project manager.
- Liaising with the vendor / partner project managers to ensure seamless integration and coordination of tasks.
- Managing project changes.
- Managing and conducting communications and change plans with the customer project manager.
- Managing and tracking all sub contractor related to his tasks and deliverables
- Liaising with appropriate counterpart from the customer / partners team
- Working with relevant resources from the vendor and partners pmoĆ¢€™s
- Managing project risk.
- Day-to-day co-ordination of project activities for his/ her tasks
- Responsible for translating any new business requirements into technical specifications
- Managing and conducting communications and change plans with the project manager

In addition to the role described above for collaboration with the Customer Project Team ,this resource will also be responsible for managing the relationship with the sub Contractor, as follows:

- Establishing agreed timelines and responsibilities
- The preparation of project progress reports and the updating of the overall project schedule based on input from, the subcontractor on their assigned activities.
- Managing and conducting communications and change plans with the sub contractors project managers
- Co-ordinate, facilitate and actively involved in the activities conducted by the sub-contractorĆ¢€™s
- Management of the Acceptance process agreed with sub contractors.


This position will require moderate to extensive travelling within UAE and specifically within the emirate of Abu Dhabi

The candidate should have a technical degree in engineering and/or computer science, be well versed with project management methodologies specifically PMI, with at least 5 years experience in managing networking / infrastructure related projects. PMI certification will be beneficial but not required. The candidates should also possess at least 3 years of local (UAE) working experience especially with the government entities.
