Responsibilities:

  • Validate quantitative models across bank products.
  • Monitor real-time enterprise-wide market, credit and operational risk.
  • Identify the primary risks associated with complex derivative products and determining their suitability for being risk managed in specific models.
  • Manage multiple complex projects, inaugurate policies / procedures / systems and eventually accountable for drafting in and recruiting/ coaching own team.

Requirements:

  • Around 10 years of relevant experience within a bank / financial institution and preferably around 3 plus years exposure with an Islamic investment bank in the GCC.
  • Minimum 2-3 years hands on experience on all 3 pillars of Basel II as well as Capital Adequacy Ratios and familiar with ICap modeling.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, though a Master's degree and/or FRM / CFA are preferred.
  • Background in risk analysis of financial modeling and investment proposals.
