The report, which is published every year, is one of the most respected and widely read sources of research on employment and salary trends in the region, used extensively by employers as well as working professionals. Key highlights of the report include:

  • Gulf salaries increased on average by 6.1% in 2010, but 55% of professionals did not get a raise
  • Across the Gulf, HR professionals received the highest pay rises, and lawyers the lowest
  • The UAE remains the most popular Gulf country for expats, however Qatar is catching up fast
  • 5% of Dubai residents now commute to work in Abu Dhabi, a five-fold increase since 2008
  • Salaries in the Gulf are forecast to rise by an average of 6.6% in 2011
  • Middle East tensions could drive more Arab professionals to Gulf countries, but may reduce interest from Western expats

Position Summary

The purpose of this position is to assist GM HR in interpretation and implementation of HR related policies at Salfi Textile Mills & Head Office and perform other official tasks assigned by the GM HR from time to time

Functions / Tasks

1. Ensure that HR policies and procedures are practiced in true spirit at Mills and Head Office
2. Ensure that the sanctioned strength and organizational charts of mills and Head Office are timely updated and communicated to relevant stake holders
3. Seeking approval for outsourced trainings and sending nominations to training institutes
4. All matters relating to workmen and non-workmen appointment and separation
5. Liaison with Mills HR Coordinator
6. Providing administrative support to HR team and HR head in relation to recruitment, training and other HR initiatives
7. Responsible to seek approvals for the matters related to overtime and temporary strength
8. Monitoring and scrutiny of Staff Welfare Fund applications
9. Monitoring and scrutiny of monthly budget of mills
10. Maintaining personnel files and CV database
11. Coordination with mills administration in legal proceedings and provide necessary support
12. Preparation of Quality Audits of HR Audits for HR division at Head Office
13. All other activities assigned by GM HR

Required Qualification:    Graduate in HR
