Job for Manager Healthcare-IT & Coordinator Healthcare-IT at Agha Khan University, Karachi

Job Description:

Aga Khan University (AKU) invites applications for the following positions:

MANAGER HEALTH CATE-IT ( IN RADIOLOGY)

The incumbent will assist in budget and strategic decision making for the implementation of health care IT systems; support operational and tactical aspects of the Rediology-IT project and supervise telemedicine in accordance with relevant technology standards such as relevant technology standards such as DICOM , HL7 and IHE. He/ she is also expected to contribute towards the improvement of the quality of health care in radiology department by practicing the concepts of Electronic Health Records (HER) imaging informatics and emerging health-IT standards. The candidate should hold a Masters degree in computer sciences or equivalent with 8-10 years of experience in health care –IT and should be well –acquainted with clinical softwares. Good knowledge of radiology workflows with imaging modalities will be considered as an added advantage.

COORDINATOR, HEALTH CARE –IT ( IN RADIOLGY)

The candidate will assist in problem analysis and support for Radiology information system (RIS) , along with maintaining strong liaison with doctors, staff, biomedical engineers vendors and IT engineers, especially during activities regarding imaging modalities integration. He/ she will also be responsible for supporting remote radiology consultation using information communication Technology (ICT) and will be expected to actively participate in quality improvement activities. The candidate should hold a diploma or a bachelors degree in computer sciences or equivalent, with 3-5 years of experience in health care-IT knowledge of web development and health informatics will be considered as an added advantage.
