| PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE | · Degree in Pharmacy with 2-4 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician / Pharmacist is required. |
| PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & JOB RESPONSIBILITIES | · Fills medication orders (IVs, chemotherapy, oral, external, etc) and make them ready for Checking by staff Pharmacist. · Admixes sterile pharmaceuticals (including chemotherapy) adhering to department approved guidelines. · Repackages unit dose and compounds of pharmaceuticals. · Prepares medication labels as stared by policy. · Participates in stock control programs (inventorying and monitoring usage). · Monitors expiration dates of pharmaceuticals. · Maintains clean working environment including hoods and counter tops. · Stocks the work area with appropriate quantity of drugs and materials needed. · Issues controlled substances to patient care areas and maintains records as required by law and Departmental policy. · Ensures maintenance and safe operations of equipment. · Complies with hospital infection control and safety protocols. · Performs other 'ob related duties within his/her technical ability as assigned. |
