HEALTH SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT OFFICER

Position Title:

• Health, Safety & Environment Officer

Contract Type:

• 2 years contract (Extension/ Absorption based on demonstrated performance)

Salary Range:

• Rs 90,000 – Rs 125,000 (Monthly)

Other Benefits:

• Substantial, depending on performance, qualification and experience.

Location:

• Rig Site (All provinces)

Qualification & Experience:

• Bachelors/ Masters Degree in Engineering or Environmental Sciences (Minimum GPA 3 or grade 75%) having at least 5-10 years of experience with reputable organizations as HSEQ (Health Safety Environment & Quality) Officer in Oil & Gas Sector, preferably on onshore rigs.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure implementation of HSE Management System during drilling and associated activities for protection of People, Asset, Reputation and Environment.
• Ensure that Company officials and contactors follow HSE policies, procedures and guidelines in addition to HSE Legal requirements in all day to day operations.
• Identify HSE hazards, assess risk and propose mitigation measures during drilling activities and report non compliance to the management at site.
• Investigate all incidents related to HSE and ensure mitigations are in place to avoid re occurrence.
• Organize HSE programs to raise the level of HSE awareness among employees.
• Coordinate and organize HSE related meetings such as HSE Committee Meetings (for both Company and Contractors), to discuss all relevant issues pertaining to Health, safety, loss prevention and environmental protection matters.
• Ensure implementation of PTW (Permit to work) procedure for all HSE critical activities and maintain record.
• Maintain all Health, Safety, environment and quality records and preparation of HSE reports (Weekly & monthly) for submission to management. It includes submission of returns to CIM (Chief Inspector of Mines) as well as maintaining all HSE records required by the organization with respect to IMS (Integrated Management System) requirements.
• Carryout regular HSE inspections and audits and prepare reports for submission to all concerned and maintain HSE Recommended Action Item register updated at all times for follow up of corrective actions.

Competencies:

• The candidates must possess HSEQ training certificates/Diplomas.
• Should be familiar with HSEQ/ ISO standards and experienced in implementing HSEQ requirements during drilling and associated activities. 
• Should be familiar with HSEQ procedures & policies and Legal requirements for oil & gas operations.
• Assist Management in reporting all HSEQ matters proactively and suggest corrective and preventive measures.
• Must be passionate and possess strong analytical ability to facilitate Rig staff in HSEQ compliance and impart HSEQ trainings.
• Must have good communication and writing skills.
