We are looking for candidates for the position of General Manager for a Multinational Company in the Finishing Materials Industry

Position Title: General Manager
Sector: Finishing Materials Industry
Position Location: Lahore
Salary: 100K to 350K

Essential Requirements:
-- About 5 to 15 years (or more) experience
-- Experience in Sales/Business Development
-- Recent  experience in Finishing Materials Industry (paints, colors, water-proofing, adhesives, tiling, flooring, etc) or similar industry

-- Recent  experience in selling to Construction company, Real-estate development company, Contractors, Retailers, Governments, etc
-- Recent  experience in working in the field (This is a field job – most work is not sitting in the office)

Note: This is an Urgent position

Area of Responsibility:
Operations in Pakistan and applicable export markets.

Reporting to:
Group Chairman Office
Group Financial Controller
Such other person as the Group Chairman may depute.

Scope of Work:
The job will cover General Management and areas of the Company as outlined below.

Sales & Marketing
To manage and develop all aspects of the sales and marketing operations of the
Company in Pakistan as well as relevant export markets.
To develop and implement, in conjunction with the Sales Manager, sales and
marketing plans for Pakistan, and applicable export markets.
To ensure that the full applicable product range is being marketed and sold.
To diversify the Company’s customer base.
To diversify the Company’s sales channels.
To ensure that the products are offered to all viable projects as well as the retail market.
To ensure that the Company is properly managing and supervising applicators and sub-contractors.
To systemize and oversee the Sales & Marketing department.
To actively participate in supporting the Sales Manager and Sales & Marketing personnel.
To safeguard the Company’s commercial interests.

Finance
To manage receivables and out standings – working to safeguard the company’s long term financial interests.
To devise strategies to safeguard, maintain and improve margins and profitability while working to expand the business.
To assist in ensuring the long-term financial stability and success of the company.
To be responsible for and to manage the process through which the Company will achieve annual budgets and targets.
To manage all applicable parts of the budgeting process and ensure that timely reports and statements are furnished to Group management.

General Administration
To work with the Finance Manager and other relevant personnel to manage all relevant administrative duties and issues.
To assist with human resource management.
To ensure that proper internal reporting procedures are in place and followed.
To ensure that Group Management receives properly prepared financial and general reports on time.
To safeguard the Company’s legal interests.

Production
To work in conjunction with the Factory Manager to ensure product availability and timely delivery.
To work in conjunction with the Factory Manager to ensure the capability of the company to be able to produce required products on time and on budget.
The position will not require access to technical know-how or formulations.

Miscellaneous
To follow instructions as and when given by Group management.
To ensure Company and Company employees compliance with Company Policies and the Company Manual.

Note: This position may require extensive travel and long working hours
