Senior SQL Developer


A reputed software house requires services of following IT professionals on urgent basis;
Designation: Senior SQL Developer

Required Experience and Skill Set
·         4+ years of relevant experience in database design and programming in a SQL Server 2008 R2 environment required.
·         Strong understanding of SQL, Transact SQL, stored procedures, functions, triggers, etc. specific to Microsoft SQL Server
·         Strong SQL data access skills including demonstrated experience with complex SQL queries
·         Experience dealing with Big Data and ETL
·         Experience with SSRS and SSIS.
·         Experience working with.NET developers to develop tools and API for data base access,
·         2 + year experiencing administrating MS SQL Servers in a production environment;
·         Ability to work independently and also in a collaborative team environment
·         Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet individual deadlines and team goals
·         Excellent verbal and communication skills.  (Working for U.S./U.K. based clients directly would be an advantage)
·         Feasible to work in rotating and Modified shifts on requirement basis
·         Strong documentation skills

Job Description/Responsibilities

o   Create complex analytic queries on large data sets
o   Create stored procedures, triggers, and functions
o   Analyze trends in key metrics
o   Generate code to extract, transform and load data from production data sources to the data warehouse
o   Develop new SSIS/SSRS packages to meet business needs
o   Migrate existing Access reports to SSIS/SSRS
o   Provide business users the data required for metrics and analysis
o   Partitioning, indexing query optimization
o   Backups, performance and transaction monitoring, performance tuning and recommendations;
o   Partitioning, indexing query optimization
o   SQL Server replication, mirroring / log shipping, DTS and SQL Server clusters;
o   Create and maintain database policies, standards and overall documentation;
o   Test and documents best practices, and conduct proactive performance, capacity and availability audits
o   Experience with Microsoft networking Windows 2008 Servers, SQL Server 2008 R2, .NET frame work is preferred
