1. CONDITION MONITORING ENGINEER

This position is responsible for monitoring rotating equipment machinery condition for impending faults, heavily orientated towards solving machinery problems through vibration
data collection, analysis of data and identifying root causes. The successful candidate shall have the responsibility for recommending the most technically and commercially feasible corrective actions.Supervise a team of Condition Monitoring technicians and support their development in this specialised field. Provide specialist services to Projects and Field Maintenance on issues relating to machinery such as developing specifications, selection, design, modifications, vibration acceptance and performance testing. Provide technical support in the field of lube oil specifications, analysis and monitoring. Ensuring that all activities are carried out in compliance with QAFCO’s Occupational Health, Quality, Safety and Environment procedures.

The candidate shall have the ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English, operate standard PC Applications and have Technical Report Writing Skills. A Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University followed by 10 years direct and relevant trade experience in Machinery Maintenance, Vibration Analysis and Condition Monitoring within the Oil & Gas, Fertilizer or Petrochemical Industry is required.



2. MECHANICAL PROJECT ENGINEER – Static Equipment

Principle duties and responsibilities
• To perform basic and detailed design engineering work on pressure vessels, heat exchangers, multi discipline packages, static equipment and piping in compliance with the Design Codes and Standards of ASME, API, TEMA.,BS.
• Develop project data sheets, specifications, requests for quotations, evaluation of offers and follow up of equipment orders.
• Follow up vendors for static equipment and multi discipline packages engineering and fabrication along with conducting expediting and inspection visits when required.
• Follow up contractors and subcontractors within own discipline scope during engineering and construction phases in order to assure the quality and safety aspects of the work.
• Perform engineering design and verification using PV ELLITE / CODEWARE
• Perform in depth analysis and verification of 2D and 3D FEA models as per ASME VIII Div 2 Code.
• Coordinate /manage and be part of the engineering and execution of multi discipline, multi scope Projects according to the Company Project Handling Procedures, including project planning, scheduling, Cost estimation and controls.
• To perform execution and follow up activities of study & feasibility, engineering, detailed design work (calculations, specifications, Modeling / analysis of designed system / equipment), procurement (to create and follow up of purchase requisitions, purchase orders, tender documents, techno-commercial evaluations of bids, contracts.) .
• Responsible to provide experienced level design and detail engineering while exhibiting efficient workflow performance.
• Perform Nozzle load calculations with relevant standards. Perform flange sizing and thickness calculation with proper selection of gasket and bolts Perform/review strength calculations for pressure parts, skirts, saddles, leg supports etc.
• Perform sizing calculations for pressure vessels / heat exchangers / columns like Air coolers, Filters and heaters, regenerators, absorber, HP Urea equipments. Sizing of air cooled, water cooled, finned tube, shell and tube type heat exchangers.
• Proficient in carry out remaining life assessment of pressure vessels and Fitness for service based on API recommendations.
• To Exhibit proficiency in executing quality design and engineering to all types of static equipment used in Company processing plants with minimal assistance
• Providing a close watch on budgets and technical issues affecting quality And/or schedule together with supplying current and timely status reports on all project tasks assigned.
• Prepare and coordinate for the documentation & drawings of the projects through in-house draftsmen or contractor.
• Will conduct & participate in Safety Reviews, Job Safety Analysis, Tool Box Meeting and will have required knowledge of industrial Safety standards, practices & Safe Work Permit requirements, and comply with all relevant QAFCO Management System procedures in respect to Occupational Health, Quality, Safety and Environment

Minimum Qualification, Experience:
• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering Discipline.
• A minimum of 8 years proven successful experience in engineering environment, designing and review of static equipment, piping and multi discipline package units within the Oil & Gas, Fertilizer or Petrochemical Industry.
• Comprehensive knowledge of engineering codes and standards and their application with reference to stationary equipment and piping design.
• Should have a very good English communication & Technical Report Writing Skills.
• Good knowledge & ability to operate standard PC applications/ MS Office.
• Very good knowledge in Metallurgy and Material selection along with corrosion and failure mechanism in oil & gas, fertilizer and petrochemical plants. Experience is use of ASTM standards is a must.
• Good knowledge of welding procedures, welding qualifications, None Destructive Testing, according to the ASME Code.
• Ability to work in a multi discipline, multi national environment.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and tasks.
• Ability to lead and be part of multi discipline teams.
• Very well versed in using Autocad and electronic documentation procedures.

3. MECHANICAL PROJECT ENGINEER – Rotating Equipment

Principle duties and responsibilities
• To perform basic and detailed design engineering work on rotating equipment ( pumps ,compressors, turbines and all associated auxiliaries and components in compliance with the Design Codes and Standards of API and ISO.
• Develop project data sheets, machinery selection with all auxiliaries, specifications, requests for quotations, evaluation of offers and follow up of equipment orders.
• Follow up vendors for rotating equipment and multi discipline packages engineering and fabrication along with conducting expediting and inspection visits when required.
• Follow up contractors and subcontractors within own discipline scope during engineering and construction phases in order to assure the quality and safety aspects of the work.
• Perform engineering and verification of rotor dynamics, rotor stability, vibration analysis, rotating machinery compliance with the API and ISO Codes.
• Perform engineering for rotating equipment sizing and selection.
• Attend and evaluate machinery performance and mechanical running tests.
• Coordinate /manage and be part of the engineering and execution of multi discipline, multi scope Projects according to the Company Project Handling Procedures, including project planning, scheduling, Cost estimation and controls.

4. ELECTRICAL PROJECTS ENGINEER

Principle duties and responsibilities

• Perform basic and detailed electrical engineering works involving electrical sub-stations, power plant and power station, transformers, HV,MV&LV Switchboards, HV,MV&LV Motors (induction & synchronous), UPS, control panels & desks, PLC, fire alarm & siren system, VFDs, cables, SCADA & DCS interfaces with electrical equipment, cathodic protection etc.
• Perform electrical design using software for carrying out the relay settings, relay coordination, equipment rating sizing.
• Selection of PLCs, configuration, understanding of I/O logics and cross references as well as design aspects of PLC panels are required for project engineering work.
• Evaluation, conducting and understanding of network load flow, short circuit, motor starting and co-ordination studies. Responsible to provide experienced level design and detail engineering while exhibiting efficient workflow performance.
• To coordinate & perform Electrical project works (brown field modification, On-line, Shutdown, Greenfield etc.) evaluations of bids, contracts.
• To perform execution and follow up activities of study & feasibility, engineering, detailed design work (calculations, specifications, Modeling / analysis of designed system / equipment), procurement (to create and follow up of purchase requisitions, purchase orders, tender documents, techno-commercial evaluations of bids, contracts.)
• Follow up vendors for electrical equipment and multi discipline packages engineering and fabrication along with conducting expediting and inspection visits when required.
• Inspection, construction, testing, livening up & commissioning activities and final documentation. The project types may range from minor field or complete unit related to major multi discipline projects involving teams of multi discipline personnel.
• Coordinate /manage and be part of the engineering and execution of multi discipline Projects according to the Company Project Handling Procedures, including project planning, scheduling, Cost estimation and controls.
• Follow up contractors and subcontractors within own discipline scope during engineering and construction phases in order to assure the quality and safety aspects of the work.
• Providing a close watch on budgets and technical issues affecting quality And/or schedule together with supplying current and timely status reports on all project tasks assigned

5. INSTRUMENT PROJECT ENGINEER

Principle duties and responsibilities
• To perform basic and detailed design engineering work on both field instrumentation ( control valves, analyzers, transmitters) and systems ( DCS,ESD,SCADA, ) including interface between both. and in between systems.
• Perform details engineering and application of various international standards like IEC/ANSI/ISA/BS etc.
• To Exhibit proficiency in executing quality design and engineering to all types of instrument equipment and systems ( DCS, ESD, ITCC, TRICONEX, Fire & Gas) used in Company processing plants with minimal assistance .
• Perform details engineering on Fire and gas systems, interface of fire & gas systems with other systems ( HVAC, SCADA, DCS,ESD ) and related field instruments.
• Perform engineering work using software such as instrucalc, flowel, conval, FEsizer
• Develop project data sheets, specifications, requests for quotations, evaluation of offers and follow up of instrument equipment orders.
• Follow up vendors for instrumentation equipment and multi discipline packages engineering and fabrication along with conducting expediting and inspection visits when required.
• Follow up contractors and subcontractors within own discipline scope during engineering and construction phases in order to assure the quality and safety aspects of the work.
• Coordinate /manage and be part of the engineering and execution of multi discipline, multi scope Projects according to the Company Project Handling Procedures, including project planning, scheduling, Cost estimation and controls.

• Should have a very good English communication & Technical Report Writing Skills.
• Knowledge of INTOOLs .
• Ability to work in a multi discipline, multi national environment.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and tasks.
• Ability to lead/manage and be part of multi discipline teams.
• Very well versed in using Autocad and electronic documentation procedures.

6. INSTRUMENT DESIGNER

Principle duties and responsibilities
• Independently be able to prepare the drawings like general arrangement drawings, Instrument index, cable schedules, Instrument location & Site layouts, Hook-up drawings, loop drawings, Schematic Drawings, Data Sheets, Cause & effect Matrix, Trip & Interlock schedules, Trip and alarm settings, Instrument air distribution, Junction box & interconnection wiring drawings, Power distribution drawings, System architecture drawings, System & marshalling cabinets and field junction-box layout drawings etc.
• Work as document controller for the project activities.
• Should be able to use online technical documentation systems and to search for and retrieve drawings, update revisions etc.
• Filing and retrieving engineering drawings from the hard copy drawing Archives.
• Should be able to use standard PC applications like MS Office, pdf reader and writer etc.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience
• The Candidate shall have Diploma in relevant engineering discipline, including draughting.
• A minimum of 8 years direct and relevant Instrument trade experience as Draughtsman within fertilizer / oil & gas or petrochemical industry.
• Very well versed in using Autocad and electronic documentation procedures.
• Very good knowledge and experienced in use of INTOOLS (min. instrument index module, Datasheet module and wiring module)
• Should have very English communication skills.


7. CIVIL PROJECT ENGINEER

Principle duties and responsibilities
• To perform basic and detailed design engineering work and analysis of steel structure and concrete works (foundations, buildings, concrete structures) in compliance with the Design Codes and Standards complete inclusive all required specifications and design for construction and execution.
• Perform design and analysis using software STAAD-Pro, ETAB
• Perform details design and loading of concrete foundation for heavy static and rotating equipment inclusive of complete specifications and design for construction and execution.
• Perform building design and verification of design and calculation done by consultants.
• Manage projects of complete buildings inclusive of HVAC including Fire & Gas Interface and system installation, Electrical systems, facilities, communication and network.
• Develop project specifications, requests for quotations, evaluation of offers and follow up of equipment orders.
• Follow up contractors and subcontractors within own discipline scope during engineering and construction phases in order to assure the quality and safety aspects of the work.
• Coordinate /manage and be part of the engineering and execution of multi discipline, multi scope Projects according to the Company Project Handling Procedures, including project planning, scheduling, Cost estimation and controls.
• To perform execution and follow up activities of study & feasibility, engineering, detailed design work (calculations, specifications, Modeling / analysis of designed system / equipment), procurement (to create and follow up of purchase requisitions, purchase orders, tender documents, techno-commercial evaluations of bids, contracts.) .
• Responsible to provide experienced level design and detail civil engineering while exhibiting efficient workflow performance.

• Will conduct & participate in Safety Reviews, Job Safety Analysis, Tool Box Meeting and will have required knowledge of industrial Safety standards, practices & Safe Work Permit requirements, and comply with all relevant QAFCO Management System procedures in respect to Occupational Health, Quality, Safety and Environment

Minimum Qualification, Experience:
• Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering Discipline.
• A minimum of 8 years proven successful experience in engineering environment, designing and review of steel structure, concrete works and buildings within the Oil & Gas, Fertilizer or Petrochemical Industry.
• Knowledge of explosion proof building design and associated HVAC system is an advantage.
• Comprehensive knowledge of engineering codes and standards and their application with reference to steel structures, concrete, foundations and buildings
• Should have a very good English communication & Technical Report Writing Skills.
• Good knowledge & ability to operate standard PC applications/ MS Office.

8. PROCESS SAFETY ENGINEER

Principle duties and responsibilities
• To plan & execute Process Safety & Risk Engineering studies for Projects including but not limited to HAZOP, SIL Classification, Hazardous Area Classification, QRA, Risk Assessment, Risk Analysis, Dispersion Studies, Process Safety Studies.
• To assist or being responsible for analyzing, determining and ensuring optimum process safety measures are identified & implemented during various project phases.
• Follow valid standards, technical requirements and good engineering practices to ensure that projects are executed in line with agreed on process safety specifications.
• To provide specifications for the procurement of equipment and services. Conduct technical and commercial evaluation of bids and recommend preferred suppliers to ensure meeting optimum process safety requirements.
• To plan work activities, and lead various project teams to ensure project safety activities are achieved within the set time schedules, specification and cost.
• Follow up and control implementation of recommended safety measures.
• Keep informed of technological developments and best practices in the area of responsibility in order to update knowledge, identify and recommend opportunities for increased effectiveness and/or cost reduction.
• Train and guide the Project engineers in the field of Process Safety and ensure the Process engineers are capable of performing the full scope of process safety engineering and design.
• Enhance the knowledge ad ability to perform safety analysis with all the project engineers of all disciplines.
• Develop the Company Process Safety Specification and Standards to be sued in all projects.
• Comply with all relevant QAFCO Management System procedures in respect to Occupational Health, Quality, Safety and Environment.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering or others relevant engineering discipline.
• A minimum of 8 years proven successful experience in a Process Safety field within fertilizer / oil & gas or petrochemical industry.
• Extensive knowledge in all aspects of Process Safety Engineering implementation and execution based on International Standards.
• Should have a very good knowledge & ability to operate standard PC applications/ MS Office.
• Should have a very good English communication & Technical Report Writing Skills.

9. PROCESS PROJECTS ENGINEER
The incumbent will be responsible for performing process related investigations including root cause analysis to problems, evaluate conceptual alternatives and propose a best solution. Furthermore the candidate will co-ordinate evaluations of proposed conceptual solutions by planning, cost estimating, performing technical calculations during basic engineering, preparing of specification and tender documents, and evaluating of bids during pre-projects. He will execute and report this work in a time and cost effective manner through good engineering practices including leading of Hazop studies.

He must have a Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering, have simulation experience and be fully conversant in standard office packages. A minimum experience of 7 years as Process Project Engineer in projects related to ammonia / urea manufacturing plants.
