Regional Operations Manager - Karachi

Multinational company, a worldwide leader in facility management services require Lead Engineering Regional Operations Manager. The job is based in Karachi and reports directly to Country Manager.

Following are the requirements:
  • Manages country Regional Operations Managers (ROMs) to ensure that the local deliverables are being met. Holds regular meetings with ROMs to review operational performance
  • Acts as a mentor to the team and is the first point of escalation
  • Promotes a leadership emphasis on all HSSE related matters. Ensures all staff are aligned to the HSSE standards and the ROMs specifically are delivering as required
  • Is the custodian of the Permit to Work (PTW) system at the country level, ensuring training is completed by ROMs when required, and suppliers are suitably qualified
  • Has ownership for all business and performance requirements of the country
  • Is the focal point within the country for monthly customer meetings to discuss operational performance
  • Ensures both JCI and customer's annual planning cycles are adhered to
  • Work with the Projects Management Company (PMC) on matters involving cross company initiatives
  • Be the JCI focal point to the customer's Sales & Ops (S&O) teams, recognizing the relationship of S&O with Engineering team
  • Is responsible for the JCI financial performance within the country to ensure the P&L is managed and business controls are adhered to
  • On a monthly basis be able to provide JCI finance and customer's finance performance reporting and analysis. Able to articulate why variances are occurring, and come up with action plans to address performance
Education: Degree in Engineering

Experience: 10 years or more work experience. Experience in FM activities with a strong HSSE management experience. Retail site and petroleum industry knowledge would be an advantage

Languages: Good verbal and written communications skills in English and Urdu languages

Computer Literacy: Strong MS Excel skills, plus knowledge of Powerpoint and Word
Supervisory Skill: Good planning, organizational and interpersonal skills
Work Time: As and when necessary
