Job Title: Deputy Manager Purchase
Location: Lahore
Position reports: Senior Factory Manager


Objectives:
  • Arrange materials according to required dates for smooth production process.
  • Buy the best value: a combination of right quality at the best price/supplier service.
  • Achieve high inventory turnover i.e. to meet materials requirement of production by keeping low stocks.


Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Lead/manage the Purchase team.
  • Forecast procurement needs.
  • Prepare SOP and ensure implementation.
  • Responsible for planning, developing and buying materials in a timely cost effective way while maintaining appropriate quality standards and specifications.
  • Receive purchase requisitions/ estimates (for local and imported materials), approve and issue purchase orders within two days (inform to seniors in case of any delay).
  • Manage and evaluate the relationship/ performance of vendors along-with exploring of new sources.
  • Develop sound/clear purchasing strategies.
  • Keep the inventory within the budgeted number of days/value for different categories.
  • Finalization of price, terms, delivery time and quality standards of materials with vendors.

A Network Operations Center (NOC) is responsible for monitoring the
network for alarms or certain conditions that may require special
attention to avoid impact on the network's performance. For example,
in a telecommunications environment, NOCs are responsible for
monitoring for power failures, communication line alarms (such as bit
errors, framing errors, line coding errors, and circuits down) and
other performance issues that may affect the network. NOCs analyze
problems, perform troubleshooting, communicate with site technicians
and other NOCs, and track problems through resolution. If necessary,
NOCs escalate problems to the appropriate personnel. For severe
conditions that are impossible to anticipate – such as a power failure
or optical fiber cable cut – NOCs have procedures in place to
immediately contact technicians to remedy the problem.
