ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Supervise, review and monitor all aspects of Operations and liaise closely with interfacing departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations and total reliability of the plant;
• Verify and review all current procedures for meeting operational objectives and recommend changes in procedures for the safe and efficient running of the plant;
• Monitor deviations in normal operations activities and trouble shoot operational problems in order to generate quick and prompt decisions making solutions to resolve operating problems and meet the shift production targets;

• Initiate and follow up all routine and reactive maintenance jobs issuing work permits for work to be carried out by the Maintenance department in order to ensure the smooth and efficient operations of the plant;
• Participate in preventive and turnaround maintenance in accord with Plans developed by the Planning department;
• Monitor and evaluate shift performance against the specific required standards set by the Management. Provide guidance and awareness in Safety and Plant Integrity;
• Facilitate, monitor, control and ensure all actions are taken for the safe shutdown and start up in specific areas of the plant in line with standard operating procedures;
• Supervise Shift operations in the plant to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established standards and procedures, employees are motivated, understand what is expected of them and perform according to the designated standards;
• Ensure that all team members are properly trained to operate the plant to the stipulated standards.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS
Minimum Qualifications:
• For Saudis: High School with In Company Technical Training or Diploma;
• For Non Saudis: Science (Chemistry or Petrochemical) Degree or Diploma in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience & Skill Requirements:
• At least 10 years of hands on experience preferably in Acrylic Acid and/or Acrylate Operations or other similar plants like Ethylene Glycol or Refinery or Naphtha Cracker or plants producing esters;
• Experience in Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning of Acrylic Acid or Acrylate or Similar Plants;
• Skills in operating petrochemical plants involving ethylene oxidation, distillation, separation as well esterification are must;
• Should be able to independently handle operations in shift.
