Position:           ACCOUNTANT\FOOD COST CONTROLLER

Reporting to Chief accountant /Finance Manager

OBJECTIVE & GOALS

The main objective is to food cost control by preventing wastage, control & reduces kitchen expenses by proper cost analysis. Compare with selling price of meals & impose direct control on inventory.

DUTIES:

1.       Determine cost per meal & each code after setting menu price according to menu costing procedures.
2.       Prepare and implement Menu planning procedure to determine selling price per meal.
3.       Follow up prices of fresh items daily, compare it with similar suppliers’ prices & keep information bank for reference.
4.       Monitor employee’s meal cost & check conformity for quantity & quality.
5.       Follow up and determine reasons for waste, find out who is responsible for waste & cost. Report to the Management as to who is responsible for the same.
6.       To conduct surprise checks once a month for stores & kitchen (freezers)/ preparation fridges & compare results with issued vouchers.
7.       Compare daily sales revenues with daily cost.
8.       To check weights, quantity & numbers of food going out & coming into Store.

FUNCTUIONAL RELATIONS:
Contact employees of purchase dept.& operation dept. for above mentioned duties .

QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING REQUIRED:
·         BA/B.Sc. from reputed university with major in accounting \financial & banking sciences.
·         Training courses in budgeting & financial analysis.
·         Training courses in computer (windows, excel, word & power point)

EXPERIENCE:
5 years experience in accounting preferably in hotels & restaurants. Experience in Gulf in similar position will be considered as added qualification.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

1.       Accuracy, concentration, awareness & good analytical abilities to solve problems in financial \accounting issues.
2.       Using accounting software with ability to modify according to work needs.
3.       Inter personal skills to conduct & keep good relations with clients & other depts.
4.       Very good English \Arabic
5.       Abilities to use computer software’s (Windows, Excel, Word& Power point)

Salary:           Negotiable
Status:            Single.
