[Note: This position reports to the Country Director]

Essential Requirements:
-- About 5 to 10 years (or more) work experience

-- Experience in International Organization OR International NGO OR Project funded by foreign/international donor

-- Experience in Project Management OR Program Management OR similar work

-- Experience in Relationship building and Stakeholders coordination

Job Dimensions:
-- This position overseas usage of office transport
-- Responsibility for human resources: 4 program officers, 1 finance
officer, 1 admin officer, 1 office and 3 support staff members -- all report to this position.

-- Responsibility for financial resources: signatory on Cheques of Rs.
100,000 at one time (almost 10 million per year). Financial budgeting
for the year.
Purpose of Job:
-- This challenging senior level position reports to the country
director and aims to
Coordinate, support, supervise and provide strategic guidance to area
office staff
In their interaction with development areas and partners and achievement
Of organizational objectives. The job plays a vital role in managing
relationship
With partners particularly  partners and ensures that organizational policies,
Strategic objectives and company’s key approaches are not compromised.
Core Responsibilities:
- Responsible for giving direction to the advocacy agenda of organization at
local and provincial levels.
- Identification of partners and networking and maintaining partnership and
- Good relationship with national and international ngos,
multi-lateral and Bilateral institutions, csos, activists groups,
social movements and research organisations that are pursuing similar pro-poor policy
and advocacy agenda.
- To play a leadership role in developing her/his team with an activist
- Perspective thus enabling them to contribute to the rights based
agenda of organization in the development areas.
- Required to have a good grasp of and skill in planning, budgeting,
managing human and financial resources and reporting through
participatory and inclusive approach.
- Understanding and experience in the areas of rights-based approach
are highly advantageous.
- Knowledge and deeper understanding of Pakistan’s social, political
and economic dynamics, the legal and constitutional environment and
conceptual clarity on major policy issues are mandatory.
- Undertaking monitoring, supervision and support visits to das and
project areas.
- Review da activities and performance against plans and budget and
undertake corrective measures in collaboration and coordination with
the team.
- Timely identify key problems, issues and programme implementation
- Difficulties including conflict in the das and seek solution
independently or in
coordination with other relevant units and staff in the organisation.
- Provide strategic guidance, technical support and leadership to
develop annual plan & budgets for the area office and das in
consultation with all staff members
- Liaise with the social movements in the area on critical issues of
the country related to poverty, marginalization of people and social
vulnerability
- Performance appraisals of all the staff of area office.
- Involve in hiring of team members in consultation with CD and HR.
- Supervise day to day administrative and financial matters of area office.
Candidate Profile:
-- Masters degree in social science, preferably in development
studies, or other relevant disciplines.
-- 5 years of relevant managerial experience in the development sector
-- Good understanding of rights based approach;
-- Experience in long-term plan and budget preparation as well as
project proposal writing;
-- Excellent team management, leadership and interpersonal communication Skill;
-- Exposure/ability to work in a diversified multicultural set-up.
