Government of the Punjab has established PAMCO, under Section 42 of the Companies Ordinance 1984, to unleash the potential of livestock resources of the province and provide fillip to the meat sector. The company has established first ever state-of-the-art slaughterhouse at Shahpur Kanjran, Lahore, with international collaboration.
PAMCO is looking for a dynamic professional to lead the company and help realize the vision of the government. The position requires entrepreneurial skills and awareness of the livestock sector in general and meat sector in particular. He/she should have in-depth knowledge of international trade in the meat sector, international food safety and hygiene requirements, awareness of government regulations , corporate governance paradigm, etc. The opening provides excellent opportunity for an individual with a proven track record and experience at senior policy and decision-making level, who possesses leadership qualities, high level of integrity and excellent interpersonal skills. Experience in similar environment will be given preference.
Qualifications:
- Master degree in management, business administration, animal sciences, food and nutrition, and other related field from HEC recognized University.
- Strong communication inter personal skills as well as computer literacy
- Minimum of ten years' experience in public, private or non-government sector at decision making level. The related experience with meat industry, marketing and export will be preferred.
- Government servants may also apply with the permission their Head of the Department.
Age Limit:
Minimum of 35 Years and maximum 55 years on the date of application.
Job Description:
- Lead a lean but effective team to develop local meat supply chain, explore international meat and by-products market to provide avenues for international trade in meat and by-products from Punjab.
- Help operate and manage newly established Lahore Meat Processing Comples;
- Inform Board of Directors and help define and articulate the company's vision and developing strategies for achieving that vision;
- A leader ensuring the support and execution of the vision and objectives of the Company;
- Promotes positive corporate culture;
- Proactive Interaction with Government organizations, public, private and corporate sector;
- Plans and motivates the human resources necessary to achieve objectives;
- Works effectively with the Board of Directors;
- Ensures that appropriate financial system is maintained and has an effective control of operations.
Salary: Market Based/Negotiable.
