Career Opportunity

PIA is undergoing major revival initiatives including improvement in marketing system and brand management which will focus on vigorous marketing programs including revisiting schedule software packages, brand management campaigns, effective marketing planning, induction of suitable aircraft in fleet and improve revenue management system to increase the existing revenue base.

To carry out these activities, PIA intends to hire the services of an Advisor Commercial Management with following deliverable scope of work along with the specific aim and objectives of revenue/capacity enhancement and fleet upgradation:

a. To carry out critical analysis of existing scheduling software package and its on-ground application by Marketing and suggest measures for scheduling improvement and upgradation by usage of latest state-of-the-art software packages and through better utilization/rotation of each type of aircraft in line with the industry trend.

b. Brand Management: Launch a Campaign to regain the passenger confidence and loyalty and to capture the lost market share and make PIA as an airline of the choice / a preferred carrier.

c. Market Planning: Each market to be treated as profit center.

d. Industry Affairs: To review and study existing bilateral agreements to explore better opportunities for the airline in collaboration with quality airlines, and to renegotiate SPAs and code share arrangements, ultimate objective being to be part of the global alliances.

e. Fleet Planning: Expedite the evaluation and induction of suitable aircraft at competitive rates. 

f. Suggest effective and practical measures to implement Revenue Management system in line with the industry's best practices while eliminating human intervention and bringing it to 100 percent automation in order to get ten to fifteen percent increment in the existing revenue base.

Prospective candidate must possess following:
a. Degree holder from any local or foreign, HEC recognized university.
b. Minimum 20 years' experience in airline marketing of which 10 years' in senior managerial position in the following disciplines:
i. Sales and Marketing/Customer Services
ii. Strategic Business Planning
iii. Fleet Planning
iv. Contract Negotiations
v. Project Management

c. Excellent negotiation and analytical skills
d. Knowledge of airline business rules, sales / marketing and proven ability to deliver and achieve revenue goals.
e. Ability to make correct and timely decisions.
