Assistant Vice President Plant Maintenance*

Our client is the most powerful Tier IV Data Center in Pakistan.They are currently seeking a highly motivated AVP Plant Maintenance that will be responsible for operation and maintenance of all machines (Plant Room) to keep the Plant fully functional. The machinery includes Generators, UPS, Air-conditioning plants and other equipment according to outlined procedures and guide lines.

Job Description


  • Coordinate plant operations and assure that all equipment is fully operational at all times.
  • Supervises plant maintenance technicians.
  • Reporting regularly the serviceability status of all equipment to the VP (Maintenance) . He is to have 24/7 coordination with the staff on duty and report any observation immediately to the VP Maintenance.
  • To attend emergency on call.
  • Ensure that all safety procedures are followed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe plant.
  • Implement, and manage the plant maintenance program based on guide lines provided and considering preventive/predicti ve maintenance.
  • Ensures that maintenance technicians are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that the maintenance program can be accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.
  • Reviews the operation of plant equipment and systems constantly, to minimize unplanned downtime, and solve problems in a timely manne.r
  • Maintain operating manuals for the equipment held in plant room.
  • To identify spares required for servicing and preparation of requisition forms.
  • Communicates regularly with all maintenance technicians, to ensure good two-way communication concerning maintenance issues.
  • Carry out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.
  • Assists VP (Maintenance) with planning and implementation of plant improvements and expansions.
  • Ensure coordination of purchasing and ensure quality of product purchased for plant maintenance.
  • Responsible for establishing all shift schedules preparation and implementation.
  • Responsible for the product quality control for the plant.
  • Ensure the use of safety equipment that includes safety eye glasses, work boots etc.
