Hi All,
We are looking for a Director/Associate Director Content for a
Financial information/ research Multinational Company.
Position Title:               Director Content or Associate Director Content
Note:                           There is only one position (Title will
be based on candidate credentials)

Essential Requirements:
-6 years (or more) experience in Operations Management
-Experience of leading multiple/diverse teams required
(Note: This is a leadership position; Company has about 300 employees
in Pakistan)
-Experience of project management/process management preferred
Sector:
-First choice: Experience of working in BPO preferred
-Second choice: Experience of working in IT, Telecom, Media -- or
similar service sector (not manufacturing sector)
Other:
-Experience of managing content (data, information, news) preferred
-Excellent English communication skills required
-Call Center experience preferred
(Company intends to start a call-center for tele-marketing)
Job description is as follows:
Role:
The Director/Associate Director will provide leadership to the
company's branch office in Pakistan, working closely with management
in the US to ensure common vision and guidance.
The position entails indirect management of groups to ensure the
accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data collected by company.
The position Director will be pivotal in providing performance
evaluations for Managers in Pakistan by monitoring department and
individual performance.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for content collection, strategic direction, and functional
management of assigned content groups. Guides process improvement and
application development related to data collection, aggregation, and
storage. Develops, prioritizes, and oversees related projects. Delivers
timely and appropriate communication to stakeholders at all levels of
the organization. Coordinates closely with staff and managers in other
departments on data enhancements, new product initiatives, and major
processing tasks. Oversees intra-group usage of shared resources.
Provides crisis management and communication when problems arise.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
o       Oversee workflow for assigned content groups. Review, analyze
and manage team performance metrics. Guide content managers in planning
for peak processing periods, maintaining documentation, communicating
with other departments, and resolving processing problems.  Provide
technical oversight for data processing activities.
o       Ensure data quality through product testing and other QA
activities.  Review support records and develop appropriate improvements
in response.
o       Develop team goals and provide functional management for
department staff.  Maintain adequate staffing levels.  Oversee training
and development of department staff.
o       Provide subject matter expertise on company systems, content
collection, and technical best practices.
o       Prioritize team efforts and resource allocation for major
product, system, and content improvements based on input from industry
group leaders, product managers, and other stakeholders.  Communicate
with company stakeholders on major strategic initiatives.  Act as a
liaison between technical teams and management.
Develop and lead content improvement projects.  Provide oversight on
system and product enhancements.
Education: BA or BS in Information Systems Management, or a related
field and/or equivalent on-the-job experience.  Additional background in
business, finance, economics, or related area required.  Graduate degree
preferred.
Experience: Six or more years experience in operations management with a
focus on data collection, process management, and/or project management.
Experience leading teams required. With background of Information
Services, Information Technology and Services, Media Production, Online
Media.
Specific Skills:  Intermediate proficiency utilizing MS Office products
including database.  Knowledge of company products, systems and services
helpful.
Special knowledge, licenses, etc: Project management skills required;
PMI coursework or certification helpful. Knowledge and understanding of
process improvement methodology and high level understanding of
programming and database structure preferred.
Abilities: Strong organizational skills required to prioritize work and
meet established deadlines.  Ability to prioritize and manage multiple
priorities at once.  Proven ability to coordinate with staff in multiple
departments on major initiatives.  Ability to effectively communicate
technical concepts to non-technical staff.  Ability to write procedures
and documentation for technical and non-technical staff.  Must be
committed to exceptional customer service and support.  Must possess
strong problem analysis and decision-making ability.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages other managers.  Manages team
members not assigned to specific content groups.  Oversees other staff
members on major projects.
Position Scope: Responsible for accuracy, completeness, relevance and
timeliness of assigned content sets. Responsible for scoping and
scheduling work related to supervised team.
Working Conditions (Physical Demands): General fast-paced office
environment.  Incumbent is required to talk, sit, stand, stoop, bend,
reach, lift, and walk.  Incumbent must be able to communicate by way of
telephone.  Keyboarding is required.  Regular use of computer screen to
complete tasks.  Noise level is low.
Contacts
Contact with product management, content management, product
development, research departments, systems, senior staff, sales and
support staff.  Contact with clients.
Others (Work Schedule/Travel/ On Call, etc.):
Occasional travel is required.  Occasional evening and/or weekend work
may be required during busy periods, emergencies or critical problems
requiring immediate attention.  Required to provide on-call support.
Flexibility required to meet important deadlines.
Frequent travel to the US (about 25% of total time) is expected.
