Position Title: Project Manager Active Citizens

Essential Requirements:
-- About 2 to 3 years (or more) work experience
-- Experience in: Development Sector at foreign/international organization or donor-funded project
OR Experience in: CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) at a multinational (or similar) company
-- Experience related to Project Management (management of people/teams/projects)
-- Experience of working with numerous stakeholders
-- Excellent English writing and communication skills
-- Masters degree
(OR Bachelors degree from prestigious foreign/local university ONLY)
-- Experience related to conducting trainings preferred
Purpose of job:
-- To ensure successful delivery of the Active Citizens programme in Islamabad, AJK, Gilgit/ Baltistan
-- To work in collaboration with internal stakeholders (Heads of Programmes, Head of Project – Active Citizens, Active Citizens Country Team, Programme Development Manager) and external stakeholders (partner organisations, contacts and civil society sector) to implement the programme strategy and activities that support Pakistan’s reach targets
Context and environment:
-- Active Citizens (AC) is organizations large scale programme under the Education & Society
SBU. AC is part of the regional Society portfolio, liaising with country programmes from India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka at outcomes’ level for integration and regional collaboration.
-- The project focuses on setting up a youth-led community engagement portfolio, society partnerships and youth networks for advocating youth & development issues; Pakistan: The Next Generation Report
Accountabilities, responsibilities and main duties:
-- Manage local partnerships in Islamabad, AJK and Gilgit/Baltistan under the supervision of Head of
Programmes
-- Support the Head of Programmes in regional collaboration with regional teams.
-- Ensure Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) framework with partners is implemented and followed as per guidelines in collaboration with M&E Manager
-- Develop and implement the Capacity Building strand with Head of Project – Active Citizens, programme teams and local facilitators, facilitate quality assurance model and ensure indicators are met
-- Represent the programme at networking opportunities, liaise with local partners for programme events and follow ups
Key relationships:
-- Work in close coordination with Active Citizens programme team for programme development and
Delivery
-- Liaise with Head of Programmes Islamabad to align and synergize Active Citizens and Conflict pool
project strands for Capacity building strand
-- Involve and engage Organization relevant audience (partnerships) in programme development, delivery and strategic alignment
-- Liaise with programme teams and partners for reporting, M&E and programme updates
Other important requirements of the job:
-- Frequent travelling would be required to support the programme
-- Passport/visa and/or nationality requirement: Right to work in Pakistan
