(Negotiable) Purpose & Key Actions
§ A Chemical or a Food
Technologist with minimum of 4 years previous packaging development experience,
with a FMCG background.
§ Extensive knowledge of FMCG
packaging formats and packing processes.
§ Experience in the technical
policy and legislative side to packaging development preferred, but not
essential. Job Description Summary
§ Responsible for end-to-end
packaging in defined given categories and ensure that all packaging is
developed to policy, process, is fit for purpose from a technical, product, and
graphical viewpoint, is cost effective and to the quality expected of the
brand.
§ Deliver Best in Class
Packaging Solutions
§ Ensure that all packaging
formats are fit for purpose, satisfy market needs and exceed the clients
expectations e.g. functionality, merchandising and maximise shelf life etc.
§ Input into the development of
the group Packaging Policy and work with the Food Technical Team to ensure
compliance across all food categories.
§ Liaise with group globally to
share learning’s and best practice.
§ Key player in the development of
the packaging sustainability strategy as well as the delivery of associated
targets for the Food Packaging Team.
§ Suggest ,delivering and
monitoring cost savings and value engineering opportunities across the
categories and reporting performance against specific agreed personal and team
savings targets.
§ Innovation - Act as a pioneer
of innovation and work closely with suppliers to keep up to date with new ideas
and market trends, ensuring these are delivered through category activity.
